A leader in the scuba diving sector, Seac is an Italian company that operates all over the world. Here, design, innovation and technology come together with respect for tradition and Italian style.
SEAC was founded in 1971 in San Colombano Certenoli, a small town in the province of Genoa, the brainchild of longstanding diving enthusiasts Attilio Rapallini andMarco Arata. After Marco’s son Daniele joined the company, SEAC was completely reorganized, focusing more than ever before on design, technological evolution and international exports.
In 2012, SEAC succeeded in positioning itself on the American market, opening its first office in New York. A dynamic company, today leader in the diving sector and present worldwide.
HISTORY
1971
Marco Arata and Attilio Rapallini, true sea lovers just barely into their
twenties, start small-scale production of pronged heads and spear
heads from scratch and SEAC (Subacquea E Affini Carasco) is founded.
1975
The first logo is created and the first official SEAC catalog is published.
1980
Production of the first spring-loaded and sling spearguns starts.
1982
SEAC reaches another milestone with the manufacture
of new wetsuits, including the legendary Privilege.
1985
The development and production of the legendary Asso speargun
mark yet another important step for SEAC and the spearfishing
world as a whole.
1988
Stefano Makula, a SEAC sponsored athlete, reaches an incredible
depth of -102 meters in variable weight freediving on the island of
Giannutri and thus becomes world champion.
1989
Production expands with the new SEAC BCDs,
including the Jump model.
1993
A new adventure starts with in-house production of regulators.
1995
The iconic Extreme mask is born!
2001
SEAC designs and manufactures a revolutionary BCD: the Pro2000. 200
2004
The second generation of SEAC arrives when Daniele Arata 2004 joins the company.
2006
SEAC further expands its product range and divides it into different 2006 lines: SCUBA, Snorkeling, Freediving, Swimming. SWIMMING
2007
The Icaro BCD wins the RedDot Product Design Award in 2007. 2007
2008
SEAC has a new in-house workshop built, dedicated to
regulators, with state-of-the-art ANSTI machines and 2008 new-generation technologies.
2010
New models of the SCUBA and freediving fins are developed 2010 and produced and expand the SEAC range even further.
2012
Marco Maestri joined SEAC and launched the branch in the
United States, SEAC USA Corp. in the City of New York. 2012 SEAC USA relocated to Miami in 2015.
2014
After meticulous research, SEAC develops its first range of 2014 LED torches, including the renowned “R” series.
2017
Design and manufacture begins on the first full-face mask: Unica.
2018
The new Driver and Partner wrist-mount diving computers 2018 arrive on the market, followed by Action and Action HR.
2019
SEAC opens a department dedicated to plastic molding of 2019 masks and fins at its San Colombano Certenoli plant.
2021
Now arriving to market, the new SCREEN scuba computer. 2021
